The 105th Airlift Squadron flies the C-130H Hercules. It is a unit of the Tennessee Air National Guard. Its parent unit is the 118th Airlift Wing.

History

Organized in spring 1917 at Kelly Field, Texas. It served in France during World War I as a supply unit, 1917-1919. It carried out emergency operations while under Tennessee National Guard control included flood-relief in the central Mississippi Valley, January 1937. The squadron performed anti-submarine patrols, c. December 1941– October 1942 and replacement aircrew training, April– August 1943. It has been part of the Tennessee Air National Guard Service since 1947.
